Ruthin scored after 5 minutes direct from a corner and then they scored again on 44 minutes. Buckley controlled the game in between their goals but lacked a bit of quality up front.

In the second half again Buckley had all the possession without creating much until the 75th minute when they scored from a corner. Buckley’s best chance to level it came in the 85th with a volley from 8 yards which just went wide. In the last ten minutes Buckley were camped in the opponents half but following our 5th corner in the space of a few minutes Ruthin broke away and scored on 90 minutes, which was not hard as every player including the goalkeeper was in their penalty box. This at least made everyone smile.

This was again a game in which Buckley had all the play but two silly mistakes and missed chances cost  the team dear. The plus point from the game was the excellent performance at centre half from 17 year old Tom Pennington.
